Malaysian customers are excited to participate in the first launch of a Samsung 4G Chromebook on May 22. The new Chromebook computer is 17.5 mm thin, weighs a mere 1.1 kilograms and comes with a built-in 4G chipset that enables seamless and always-on Internet.
Asus has finally decided to join the Chromebook bandwagon. The Taiwanese electronics manufacturer joins Acer, Samsung, HP and Lenovo as OEM partners and expects to have a Chromebook laptop available in the latter half of 2013.
The Chromebook Pixel will meet it's fair share of critics due to the heavy $1,300 price tag, but it will also appeal to the heavy Google drive users and we're sure it will win over the performance junkies.
The $199 Acer C7 Chromebook will now be sold at TigerDirect, NewEgg and Staples.com, joining the existing sellers including Google Play, BestBuy.com and Best Buy stores.
There are reports claiming that Taiwanese manufacturers HTC and Asus will not be partnering with Google on second generation Chromebooks, due to poor sales of the original Chromebooks.
