New HP Chromebook 11 Launches for $279

The HP Chromebook 11 launched on October 8 with a slew of design improvements.

It is lighter than previous Chromebooks at just over two pounds; it comes without sharp edges for more wrist comfort; and no extra charger is required for road trips since the HP Chromebook 11 is powered by a micro-USB charger. Also, feel free to use that to charge up your Android phone or tablet.
Many will enjoy the fanless design, which means no grills for venting and the 176-degree viewing angle, for the occasional sideways glance. The new model also features
a better speaker setup situated under the keyboard, which means the sound is crisp, clear and pointed up towards your ears, plus a 60-day free trial of Google Play Music All Access doesn’t hurt.

Of course, the new 11-inch Chromebook offers the tried and true two USB 2.0 ports, a VGA Webcam, and a SlimPort video out as well as 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, a 2,300 mAh battery and a 16GB solid-state drive.

In the US visit Best Buy, Amazon, Google Play and HP Shopping and in the UK check Currys and PC World. Everyone else needs to wait until the Holidays.
