Several reports point out that the C720 Chromebook will still resemble the previous Acer C710 model but the new version will be 0.75 inches thick and weigh 2.76 pounds. And the battery life will extend to 8.5 hours.

Expected to be priced at $200, the C720 will include an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, a 16 GB solid state drive, 2 GB-4 GB of RAM and 100 GB of free Google Drive storage for 2 years.

An SD card slot for extra storage will also be featured along with two USB ports, an HDMI port, an HD webcam and a 45 WHr battery.

As we expected, the C720 will contain the highly-touted 1.4 GHz Intel Celeron 2955U Haswell processor, which will help speed things up considerably.
