Tech Data Releases Acer C7 Chromebook to Channel Partners

acer-c7-aspire-c710Tech Data Corporation, a wholesale technology distributor, has made the Acer C7 Chromebook available to its channel of more than 60,000 resellers in the United States.

Tiffany Severance, Director of Product Marketing at Tech Data Corporation, elaborates: “Tech Data is pleased to offer our solution providers advanced education technology through Acer’s Chromebook line. This addition is ideal for solution providers with education customers because it is designed to significantly enhance student learning and includes the latest software and protection against online threats. The functionality and affordability of the Acer C7 Chromebook is a great addition to our Client Systems offering.”

Severance adds that education customers of the company’s reseller partners will benefit from the Acer Chromebook’s six hours of battery life, online security, easy manageability, mobility, as well as being ideal for schools with multiple users logging on with one-to-one initiatives in place.

Schools strapped for resources will obviously benefit from the Chromebook’s advantages. For example, Ace Charter School in San Jose, CA, is currently enjoying the decision to purchase the Chromebooks for students.

Shawn Gerth, Director of Schools, reiterates: “Given that many of our students lack computers at home, it’s critical that we provide them with regular access to technology in the school day. We purchased the Acer C7 Chromebook in order to increase the number of students who can get regular access to technology and our effective online learning solutions. Like most schools, we have a limited budget and very lean IT support, so the Acer C7 Chromebook’s extremely affordable price and easy maintenance made them a perfect solution for our needs.”
