Google and DonorsChoose Charity Offering $99 Chromebooks to Public Schools

The Samsung Series 5 Chromebook normally goes for $429 for the WiFi-only version, but that very same Chromebook can be purchased for $99 by US Public Schools.

Of course, it will go for a limited time only and from the looks of it there is also a 30 Chromebook ceiling, roughly the average size of a public school classroom.

Google outlines the deal as follows: “Through December 21st, Google is providing an exclusive opportunity through DonorsChoose.org for public school teachers to request the Samsung Series 5 Chromebook for the heavily discounted price of $99 each, including hardware, management and support.”

DonorsChoose.org, is an online charity that connects donors directly to public school classroom needs.
