New Chromebook Users Stand to Gain 100GB of Google Drive Storage

Is Google prepared to offer 100 GB of free Google Drive storage to new Chromebook and Chromebox users?

Several articles are pointing to a Chrome Story report which claims that François Beaufort looked up a piece of code from the Chromium source which says “Get 100 GB free with Google Drive”.

Were this to materialize, recent purchasers of the second-generation Chromebook laptops or Chromebox computers stand to save $4.99 per month in storage costs. Those who bought Chromebooks earlier on appear to be out of luck on this current deal.

Naturally, Google has yet to confirm whether the offer is legitimate.
