Chrome OS 20 Now Available for Chromebooks

Chromebook users should be happy to learn that Google’s latest version of the Chrome OS is now available.

Chrome OS 20 features a number of improvements and bug fixes.

Danielle Drew, of Google’s Chrome Team, blogged: “The Google Chrome team is happy to announce the arrival of Chrome 20 to the Stable Channel for ChromeOS. The Stable channel has been updated to 20.0.1322.54 (Platform version: 2268.105.0) for Chromebooks (Acer AC700, Samsung Series 5, Samsung Chromebook Series 5 550, and Samsung Chromebox Series 3, and Cr-48). Machines will be receiving updates to this version over the next several days.”

Chrome OS 20 also adds support to Google Drive and offers offline support of Google Docs. In addition, it has updates to Pepper Flash, a cross-platform application programming interface (API) for Web browsers that’s been developed jointly by Google and Adobe.
