At Google’s I/O on June 28th (Day 2) the big Chromebook story was that 100 Best Buy stores in the United States and several Dixons retailers in the UK have agreed to feature Google Chromebooks in their retail stores.
Sundar Pichai, head of Google’s Chrome Product Division, added that Chrome now has 310 million active users, effectively making it the most popular browser worldwide.
Also, Brian Rakowski, product management director of Chrome, told the estimated 5,500 attendees at the I/O, that the Google Chrome browser will be made available for Apple’s iOS devices and that the app for the iPhone and iPad, is expected to hit the App Store later today.
