Google May Open Retail Store in Dublin

Google plans to open a retail store in Dublin, Ireland.

BusinessWeek reports that the search engine giant has filed paperwork enabling it to open a store at its European Headquarters in Dublin, which would feature official merchandise, such as Chromebooks.

The planned location, according to the report, is in Dublin’s Montevetro office block and will consist of 1,323 square feet of space plus a mezzanine floor extension.

Google, which has tested the waters with Chromebook shops in London and sells merchandise at its California headquarters in addition to www.googlestore.com, said a final decision on the store opening is still pending.
