No Google Chromebook Launch Planned for South Africa

South Africans will have to get by without the use of Google Chromebooks for quite a while, apparently.

According to a post in MyBroadband, the largest IT Website in South Africa, Acer Country Manager, Graham Braum, said only selected partners in a few countries would be chosen to test Chromebooks and South Africa was not included.

“These pilot projects will be evaluated and once we have the feedback on these projects a more strategic plan will be implemented,” Braum told MyBroadband.

The next two countries participating in Chromebook launches appear to be India and Australia.
