TJHS Students Will Each Get A Chromebook

District Information Systems Director Dave Fringer had some good news for students attending Thomas Jefferson High School: “What’s happening this year is we’re buying 962 Samsung Chromebook computers from Google, to be deployed next week and to be used for the rest of the school year.”

The purchase was approved by School Board members at a November 8th meeting.

Fringer is quick to point out that education is still the priority: “It’s still about teaching and learning. It’s not about computers. The computer’s a tool, and there’s a certain degree of technological literacy required today.”
