Is Chrome more ‘app-ealing’ now?

Shannon Guymon, Google Product Manager, is pretty excited about the latest stable release of Chrome. Are you?

The redesigned New Tab page, she says, is more streamlined making it easier to access and organize apps in different sections on the page. Have a look at the video and see for yourself.

The Web Store also has a new look. Guymon blogs: “Apps and extensions are now presented in a wall of images that’s updated every time you visit the store. We hope this will help you quickly scan the store and find interesting things to try out. In addition, apps and extensions are easier to install—just hover over an image on the grid and click ‘Add to Chrome’.”

There are several new apps that have been introduced including My Robot Nation, which lets you design your own robot and bring it to life with a 3D printer. And it wouldn’t be very app-ealing if there were no new games, would it? Be sure to check out The Godfather: Five Families and Fieldrunners.
