Google plans to release Chromebooks in India

Chromebooks are heading to India in the New Year.

The Chrome-OS enriched computers will start shipping in 2012 according to Sundar Pichai, who has access to information of that nature.

Pichai, the senior vice president of Chrome at Google, also said to Indian journalists that there will likely be other OEM partners involved in producing Chromebooks in 2012, besides Samsung and Acer.
