Google Steps In With Another Chrome Zone

Arvind Desikan, head of consumer marketing at Google UK, wants more people to try out Chromebooks. Therefore, another Chromebook store will be launched.

“People will be able to go in and have a play with the devices. We want to see whether people understand what this device is all about and monitor their reaction when they try it out,” Desikan noted.

Rumour has it that the second store will be opening on Friday October 7th at Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex.

According to Wikipedia, the shopping centre is the seventh largest in Britain with 1,434,000 square feet (133,200 m2) available as retail floorspace.

Google certainly picked a good location as there are over 250 shops, 50 cafes and restaurants plus an average of 500,000 visitors per week. We expect there will be a lot of walk-in traffic and hopefully many satisifed Chromebook buyers in the mix. Happy shopping in advance!
