Samsung Chromebooks Debut in South Korea

The Samsung Series 5 Chromebooks will be available for pre-order in South Korea starting on Friday August 19th.

Referred to as the Sense Chromebook Series 5, the computers will be available in the Samsung mobile shop from this Friday until Aug. 28, reports Korean news agency, Yonhap.

Korean Customers will have the opportunity to buy both the WiFi model and WiFi + 3G model online from August 29th. The WiFi version will cost 639,000 won (US$596), which is far more expensive than the $429 retail price in the United States.

Samsung continues to highlight the 12.1-inch high-resolution screen which is designed to reduce eye fatigue with it’s non-glare display. The mobility factor is also being emphasized with the 1.5 kilogram weight and 19.9 millimeter thickness in addition to the 8.5-hour battery life and 10 second booting speed.
