Amazon Will Start Shipping Acer Chromebooks in mid-July

In my inbox this morning – June 22, officially the second day of summer – Amazon sent me a reminder about my Acer Chromebook.

Clicking through to the item I see:
The Acer AC700 Chromebook (3G) will begin shipping in mid-August. See our full selection and check out all of the great features that Chromebooks have to offer at our Chromebook Store.

Upon further investigating, I see under More Information:
The Acer AC700 Chromebook (Wi-Fi) will begin shipping in mid-July.

While the shipment dates have changed, with no explanation other than they are not currently available, we can still be grateful (somewhat) that the $429.99 and $349.99 sticker prices are still in effect. What happened to the Chromia name? We’ll get to the bottom of this and let you know. If you have any other relevant information about the AC700s, please inform us.
