After completing a TV ad for Google’s Chrome Web browser, Lady Gaga may now be negotiating an endorsement deal for the new Chromebook laptops.
There’s no doubt that such an endorsement will have a huge impact on the social networks where Gaga’s more than 10 million Twitter followers and 32 million Facebook friends will be a receptive channel for sharing Chromebook information.
Interestingly, Lady Gaga and Google already share some of the same partnerships.
On May 23, Amazon.com’s servers experienced some disruption due to heavy demand at its MP3 store for Lady Gaga’s new 14-track album “Born This Way” being sold for just 99 cents.
Another Chromebook vendor, Best Buy is giving away the album to anyone who purchases a mobile phone with a contract.
Lady Gaga’s manager, Troy Carter, told The Associated Press on May 24th: “It was really about expanding the distribution on this album and going into as many non-traditional retail partnerships and non-traditional marketing partnerships as possible. Just with the diminishing music labels, you want to find quality partners where you know you can reach new audiences and being able to push boundaries as well.”
The excitement continues to mount as we get closer to June 15th.
